SCI Shared Resources LLC Corporate - Supervisor, Trust or Trust Supervisor in Jefferson, Louisiana
Overview & Responsibilities
This position assists the Trust Manager and Director by providing oversight and review of the legal and trust services process. The position heavily interacts with trustees, legal counsel and state regulators on important trust administration issues. The candidate should look for continued ways to improve relationships with those entities and generate improvements surrounding the trust accounts.
Work alongside the Trust Manager to ensure that trust administration/services functions are handled proficiently and timely.
Work with the Trust Director, investment advisor’s board members, and Senior Corporate Counsel to ensure the investment advisor’s
compliance programs are operational.
Assist with the compliance of wholly-owned state-chartered trust company.
Work daily with trustees on issues pertaining to SCI’s overall trust structure pertaining to the trustee’s processes or SCI’s processes.
Manage the process whereby all trust agreements are established with trustees timely and in accordance with state regulations.
Coordinate the restructuring of trust accounts and supervise the realignment of trust accounts among trustees and states.
Establish trust accounts after acquisition; coordinate on transfer of accounts and removal of trustee after disposition. Coordinate with
Information Support, A&D and field personnel throughout the process.
Work with SCI Governmental Affairs and Legal to push legislative changes that would benefit SCI’s initiatives.
Evaluate and propose changes to overall trust operational structure to reduce risk and increase efficiencies.
Work with OroSolutions to ensure data flow, integrity and structural issues are identified and rectified.
Assist in the preparation or review of outgoing correspondence to state regulators and responses to auditors to ensure they are high
quality, professional, and appropriately express SCI’s position.
- Participate in and manage ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline. Paralegal or legal education a plus.
- CPA or MBA preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to read applicable laws and apply them in practice.
Conflict management and customer focus skills.
Ability to professionally represent SCI in front of trustee, state regulators and auditors.
Understanding of trust accounting and tax procedures, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Management and organization skills to ensure OSP, SCI Legal, Field Operations and other SCI departments work as a team to meet compliance requirements.
