Overview & Responsibilities


Responsible for data entry and electronic tracking of files; creating files according to company standards (numbering, labeling, scanning, organizing); and retrieving and returning files to the Records Department. Additional duties include responding to requests by delivering boxed files received from off-site facility. Individual will handle special projects as assigned.


100% Administrative Support

  • Managing and controlling computerized filing records system.

  • Retrieving and organizing legal files.

  • Scanning paper files for electronic storage.

  • Maintains records for management reports and inventories of supplies needed.

  • May perform filing duties in conjunction with specific customer requests.

Requirements & Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL/Experience/MINIMUM Requirements


  • High School diploma or GED equivalent


  • Two-Three (2-3) years of experience in records management or equivalent experience in a related field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook) and other computer programs

  • Possess a mastery of alphabetical, numerical and chronological sequencing

  • Previous records management experience with demonstrated knowledge of filing procedures and techniques in a legal environment

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to organize and prioritize

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to be accurate, concise and detail oriented

  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.

  • Demonstrate a professional approach to work, respect for confidentiality, willingness to learn and a great attitude.
