SCI Shared Resources LLC Corporate - Funeral Revenue & Merchandise Manager in Houston, Texas

Overview & Responsibilities

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for the execution of funeral pricing, packaging and revenue management strategies in roughly 400 funeral locations annually. Utilizes advanced pricing analytics, reporting tools and applications to identify and establish optimum prices to maximize at-need revenue and preneed sales production. Supports Senior Managing Director/Managing Directors to ensure pricing/packaging strategies are consistent across Business Units and achieve expected revenue and operating profitability targets annually. Monitors financial results and field compliance to pricing initiatives and communicates results to Field Management on a monthly basis. This role can be located in any location - not just Houston, TX.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

100% Pricing

  • Analyzes market and location dynamics, pricing trends, segmentation opportunities, consumer willingness to pay, operating/sales margins, and service and merchandise frequencies to determine appropriate pricing strategies.

  • Utilizes sophisticated analytics (TABLEAU) and pricing applications (TOPAS) to identify and establish optimum pricing/packaging strategies during anniversary pricing reviews and monthly revenue management activities.

  • Responsible for managing all prices, price lists and package structures in PAS and HMIS to ensure field locations are in compliance with federal and state funeral regulations.

  • Educates Field Management on the importance and impact of pricing/revenue growth strategies and their impact on the achievement of financial targets in the at-need and preneed funeral segments.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Operations Management or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • 10 + years of experience in professional Finance or Sales & Marketing or equivalent experience in a related discipline

  • 5+ years of experience in retail pricing/revenue management or equivalent experience in a related discipline

  • 5+ years of field experience in the funeral industry

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to use all Microsoft Office tools

  • Must have strong technical skills required to operate advanced analytics and applications

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as well as strong presentation skills

  • Strong project management and leadership skills

  • Must have strong consensus building capabilities

  • Must be results-oriented

  • Must have excellent quantitative skills
